Supporting Canal Winchester Human Services financially provides the opportunity for our programs to continue serving the residents of Canal Winchester.  Since 1976, we have been a 501(c)3 non-profit, charitable organization therefore all financial donations are tax-deductible to the donor. Be assured that should you consider making a financial contribution, 100% of your donation will be used to support the program of your choice.  Unless you specify otherwise, your contribution will never be used towards operating or administrative expenses.

The choice is yours!  When you donate, we encourage you to let us know what program you would like to support:

Senior Transportation ~ Contributions will help with expenses incurred in providing free transportation to all senior citizen clients, age 60 and over, and younger clients with physician verified disabilities.

Emergency Assistance ~ Donations made specific to this program help support families who are suffering a financial crisis.  Through this matching program, we assist with “life-sustaining” expenses such as rent, utilities, food and medical needs.

Adopt A Family ~ There are various expenses associated with this program including supporting children and families that we are unable to “adopt” to private contributors.  Funding also helps provide food baskets for every family, grocery and fuel gift cards for adults, and fruit baskets for senior citizens who are shut-ins, etc.

Tools For Schools ~ Donations are used to purchase school supplies and book bags.  These supplies are then provided to children enrolled in the Canal Winchester School District who cannot afford to purchase them on their own.

Senior Support ~ Funding is used to support our routine visits to Winchester Place, the recently established “Seniors to Seniors” Program, Computers for Seniors, and the Tuesday Lunch Program, etc.

Community Support ~ Funding is used towards the support we provide to various community programs including the Community Halloween Party, After Prom Party, Special Olympics, etc.

Discretion of Human Services ~ We are appreciative to those who choose to donate but leave the purpose of their contribution to the discretion of the Executive Board.  These funds are used to supplement programs which do not have adequate funding.

Endowment Fund ~ Supporting the newly established Endowment Fund will help insure that Canal Winchester Human Services will be serving the needs of our community for many years to come.  Please consider including Canal Winchester Human Services in your long-term financial and estate planning.  Keep your legacy alive through the Endowment Fund (click HERE for additional information).

You may use the convenient donor instruction sheet (click HERE) to designate which program or programs you wish your donation to go toward. Please make financial contributions payable to Canal Winchester Human Services and mail to:  22 South Trine Street, Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110
