Community Food Pantry Program ~ Unfortunately, hunger deficiency is alive and well in Canal Winchester, Lithopolis and our service boundaries within rural Fairfield County.  During the last year, the Canal Winchester COMMUNITY Food Pantry served more people than ever.  Contributions are used for food purchases and the direct expenses associated with the daily operation of the Food Pantry Program.

Community Outreach Program ~ Contributions can be made for specific services or to be used at the discretion of the Organization.  We are happy to honor any special designation you may have.

Emergency Assistance ~ Donations made specific to this program help support families who are suffering a financial crisis.  Through this matching program, we assist with “life-sustaining” expenses such as rent, utilities, food and medical needs.

Adopt A Family ~ Donating to the Adopt-A-Family Program helps defer the expenses which includes taking care of children that are not otherwise adopted with clothes and shoes (we use donated toys for their “wishes”).  We also use money to purchase some food items such as milk and eggs and to supplement food baskets provided during various holidays.

Community and Senior Outreach ~ Funding is used towards the support we provide to various community services including the Community Care Day, Halloween Party, “Senior Prom”, and monthly “Soup” Kitchen lunches.

Tools For Schools ~ Donations are used to purchase school supplies and book bags.  These supplies are then provided to children enrolled in the Canal Winchester School District as well as Bloom Carroll students who participate in the FEEDING OUR FUTURE initiative who cannot afford to purchase them on their own.

Discretion of Human Services ~ We are appreciate those who choose to donate but leave the purpose of their contribution to the discretion of the Organization. These donations are used to supplement programs which do not have adequate funding.

Senior Transportation Program ~ Contributions will help with expenses incurred in providing free transportation to all eligible senior citizen clients, age 60 and over.

Endowment Fund ~ Supporting the established Endowment Fund will help insure that Canal Winchester Human Services will be serving the needs of our community for many years to come.  Please consider including Canal Winchester Human Services in your long-term financial and estate planning.  Keep your legacy alive through the Endowment Fund (click HERE for additional information).

“ONE SQUARE FOOT” BUILDING PROJECT ~ For more than 60 years Canal Winchester has never had a permanent home. Donations in at least $50 increments support our building project “One Square Foot”.  Contributions can be in honor of someone you care about, in memory of someone you miss or as your own lasting legacy to the Canal Winchester Community.  All donations to the “One Square Foot” Campaign will be permanently acknowledged in the new facility to be appreciated for decades to come. (click HERE for additional information).
You may use the convenient donor instruction sheet (click HERE) to designate which program or programs you wish your donation to go toward. Please make financial contributions payable to Canal Winchester Human Services and mail to:  80 Covenant Way, Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110

DESIGNATE EMPLOYEE CONTRIBUTIONS! Did you know you can designate Canal Winchester Human Services as beneficiary of many employee-driven charitable campaigns such as Ohio State’s charitable program or the United Way?  For example, if you participate in giving through the United Way, write “99” on your Pledge Card and fill in the name “Canal Winchester Human Services”.  Your United Way contribution will then be designated to Canal Winchester Human Services. For other employee motivated charitable campaigns, please contact your Human Resource department to ask how Human Services can be the recipient.

The choice is yours!  When you donate, we encourage you to let us know what program you would like to support:
Supporting Canal Winchester Human Services financially provides the opportunity for our programs to continue serving the residents of Canal Winchester.  Since 1976, we have been a 501(c)3 non-profit, charitable organization therefore all financial donations are tax-deductible to the donor. Be assured that should you consider making a financial contribution, 100% of your donation will be used to support the program of your choice.  Unless you specify otherwise, your contribution will never be used towards operating or administrative expenses.
